Following is my supplies list. Mostly to replenish the consumables.

Pro/Elec tips
(223-9915EDU $41.60)
Xcluda D tips

I found that some are just cheaper to buy as a kit.

From BioRad:
ELISA Kit
(166-2400EDU $124)
Forensic DNA Fingerprinting Kit
(166-0007EDU $130)
PV92 PCR informatics Kit
(166-2100EDU $199)

Total from BioRad: $1281.55

Before the year is over, I would like to attempt "bacterial plasmid prep lab." That means I am going to need buffers from QIAGEN plasmid purification miniprep. I did not a chance to look at any catalog on this.

More wishes:

95% ethanol

p20, p200 adjustable pipets

If there is a way for me to order restriction enzymes (two or three) on a schedule so they are delivered yearly, that would be great. I did not have a chance to contact any companies, though.

In addition to last comment:

I looked up NEB (New England Biolabs) and found couple of enzymes that could work on next school year

HindIII
(R0104T $53)
BamHI
(R0136T $53)

In addition, if CCR is able to share some of QUIGEN buffers for this year so I can try out the Plasmid purification, I will be elated (RNase A Buffer, Lysis Buffer, and Potassium Acetate.

Thank you!!!

Brian and I were thinking about pooling our funds with Amy to possibly purchase some big item we needed for our department. We then realized that we have the big equipment items we need, and should work on smaller items and consumables. One thing we think we may like to acquire is a set of micropipettes, as they tend to be quite expensive, and this would be a good opportunity to purchase. We definitely need to have more conversations about this! :-)
