DKG 11/11/2011 meeting

This month DKG meeting was held in Iao UCC Kansa Hall.  For the guest speaker, Mr. Haines from Pacific Produce (Waipoli Farm), famous for their lettuce, was invited.  He is a well spoken man with humility and intelligence.  It was really awesome to hear him speak about the his hydroponic system and his views on any agricultural issues.  We were also able to purchase baby romaine for only 50cent a head.  We also held a silent auction to raise money for the club.  I ended up buying flashlights (for Danny and James), haku leis and a bracelet for Anica.  I brought some paper products (notebooks, cards, and post it stand) to be sold at the meeting. I love these meetings because I learn so much from just fellowshiping with the retired teachers.   They have so much wisdom.  I also volunteered to help with Christmas craft class for next year if they were interested.  It will be fun to make Christmas cards together.  :-)
