Mentor Level II Training - Session 4: Mentoring as Leadership

March 9 - 10, 2015 (8:30am-3:30pm)

Started with Norm - this helps keep the class professional.
Get kids moving!!!  Michelle had us moving by sharing & finding quadrant partners.

1.  Focus:  Student Achievement
- triangulation of data (formative, summative, and on-going)

2.  Case Study Teacher - analyze evidence and look to the next step
-Analyzing and reflecting on evidence --->  great way to reflect on the year for EES

3.  Your idea of good leader.

4.  Mentors are transformational leaders - facilitative in nature-support "bottoms-up" decisions and distribute leadership responsibilities.  Focus on relationships and "second-order" changes as a path to innovation and improvement.  Constructivist approach to engagement and motivation.

5.  What are your strengths?  Weaknesses?

Great session!  This session empowered me to be political.  I can help in making positive systematic changes.  I am optimistic!
