Score Session AP consultant was Allison Kitty from Redwood School. She participated in summer grading sessions for several years.
We scored our mock exam, 2013 free response after going over the rubric and a few student answer examples. About a dozen AP biology teachers across the
state participated. Each of us shared
our stacks.
We had to bring our graded multiple choice scores. I input our grade into the spread sheet
provided. Everyone in my AP biology class scored 3 or above except for one student who scored a 1.
It was a good eye opening experience. I am able to gain some insights into the grading system and am interested in doing one of these gradings. Maybe I will apply next summer or the summer following. :-)
