AP Biology Workshop July 2010 - cool links

Hi, everyone.  I hope everyone's having a pleasant summer.  I am currently attending AP (biology) workshop along with JoAnn Oshiro and Joan Tamashiro.

Here are some cool links I thought you might want to check out as you are planning out this year.  The participants at the workshop shared them today.

1.  http://www.explorebiology.org/ - great online biology curriculum, activities, reproducible, and template, etc.
2.  http://www.biologos.org/ - site for integration of faith and science. We had two participants from Christian/catholic school. 
3.  http://www.jkirkbrown.com/ - Kirk Brown, a biotechnology/biology teacher from CA has his biotechnology and biology curriculum online.  Cool animations.
4. www.multimedia.mcb.harvard.edu/media.html - Check out the Inner Life of the Cell Video.  Sooooo awesome.
5.  www.sciencecourseware.org/vcise/drosophila - virtual drosphophila genetics lab.
6.  www.funnyordie.com/videos/55fc026024/monty-python-shes-a-witch-from-montypythonfan - She's a Witch video which you can use to introduce scientific method.  I will share when we have our next department meeting.
7.  http://www.biologyjunction.com/ - Great resource site for biology class and more.
8.  www.biologyjunction.com/wholeplanttranspiration.doc - Required AP Biology Lab 11 can be done with a whole plant.
9.  Hoike O Haleakala curriculum online - Check out the marine module.  Construction of food web using Maui local marine animals in our community.
