Danielson
Teacher Leadership Workgroup was formed of teachers recommended by their
school. The purpose of the group is to
- Gather information about the training needs of teachers and schools
- Make recommendations on the future development of the classroom observation and core professionalism components of the overall teacher evaluation system
- Refine processes of operationalizing the classroom observation cycle
In making
recommendation to Board of Education, we read many research papers, analyzed
data, individually answered surveys and discussed different situations that each
school/district. It was an awesome
learning experience and found a great value in dialoguing with colleagues each month for two hours. Recommendations made by TLW has been reported
quarterly and final report will be made later May.
